Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about CPF Calculator SG and how CPF works in Singapore.
Is CPF Calculator SG really free?
Yes. All 5 calculators are completely free with no usage limits. No sign-up, no credit card, no free trial that auto-charges. The calculators will always be free.
How accurate are the calculations?
Our calculators use CPF Board's published contribution rates, allocation rates, and interest formulas. We update rates when CPF Board announces changes (typically in January). However, results are estimates — your actual CPF depends on your employer's policies, CPF Board's processing, and policy changes. Always verify against official CPF Board resources at www.cpf.gov.sg.
Is my salary data safe?
Your data never leaves your browser. All calculations run in JavaScript on your device. We don't send your salary, age, or CPF balances to any server. You can verify this by turning off your internet — the calculators still work.
What's the difference between this and CPF Board's calculator?
CPF Board has a contribution calculator focused on employers. We offer 5 calculators covering the full CPF journey — contribution, interest, CPF LIFE payout, retirement sum projection, and tax relief — all in one place, no SingPass required.
Can I use this if I'm a Permanent Resident (PR)?
Yes. Our Contribution Calculator supports Singapore Citizens and PRs (1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year onwards) with correct rate differentials for each category.
Do you provide financial advice?
No. Our calculators provide estimates for informational and educational purposes only. They are not financial, tax, or retirement advice. For personalized guidance, please consult a licensed financial adviser in Singapore.

For 2026: Ordinary Account (OA) earns 2.5% per annum. Special Account (SA) and MediSave Account (MA) earn 4% per annum. An extra 1% interest is paid on the first $60,000 of combined balances (capped at $20,000 for OA).
What is the CPF salary ceiling in 2026?
The Ordinary Wage (OW) ceiling is $8,000 per month. CPF contributions are only calculated on the first $8,000 of your monthly salary. The Annual Additional Wage ceiling is $102,000.
What is the Full Retirement Sum for 2026?
The Full Retirement Sum (FRS) for 2026 is $220,400. The Basic Retirement Sum (BRS) is $110,200 and the Enhanced Retirement Sum (ERS) is $440,800.
When do CPF LIFE payouts start?
CPF LIFE payouts begin at your payout eligibility age, which is currently 65. You can defer payouts up to age 70 for higher monthly amounts.
How much tax can I save with CPF top-ups?
A $8,000 voluntary top-up to your SA or RA can save you $560 at the 7% tax rate (income $40K-$80K) or $1,760 at the 22% rate (income $200K-$240K). You can also top up $8,000 to family members for additional relief.
How are CPF contributions split between OA, SA, and MA?
The split depends on your age. For members aged 55 and below, 62.17% goes to the Ordinary Account (OA), 16.21% to the Special Account (SA), and 21.62% to Medisave (MA). As you age, a larger share is directed to MA.
