CPF Contribution Rates by Age (Singapore Citizens & 3rd-Year+ PRs)

CPF Contribution Rates for Permanent Residents (PR)
PR employees have graduated rates during their first two years. From the 3rd year onwards, they are aligned with Singapore Citizen rates.

How Contributions Are Allocated (OA / SA / MA)
Your total CPF contribution is divided into three accounts based on your age. The older you are, the larger the share directed to Medisave (MA).

CPF Salary Ceilings for 2026
- Ordinary Wage (OW) ceiling: S$8,000 per month. Only the first S$8,000 of your monthly salary attracts CPF contributions.
- Annual Additional Wage (AW) ceiling: S$102,000 minus the OW subject to CPF for the year. This applies to bonuses and other ad-hoc payments.

Worked Examples
Example 1: Age 35, S$5,000/month, Singapore Citizen
Employer contribution: S$5,000 × 17% = S$850
Employee contribution: S$5,000 × 20% = S$1,000
Total CPF: S$1,850/month
Allocation:
- OA: S$1,850 × 62.17% = S$1,150
- SA: S$1,850 × 16.21% = S$300
- MA: S$1,850 × 21.62% = S$400
Example 2: Age 58, S$8,500/month, Singapore Citizen
Capped wage: min(S$8,500, S$8,000) = S$8,000
Employer contribution: S$8,000 × 16% = S$1,280
Employee contribution: S$8,000 × 18% = S$1,440
Total CPF: S$2,720/month
Allocation (age 55-60):
- OA: S$2,720 × 28.26% = S$769
- SA: S$2,720 × 27.17% = S$739
- MA: S$2,720 × 44.57% = S$1,212
